There are places and people we just can’t quit. Dreams unfulfilled. Childhood homes our hearts never left.

Life is beautiful and cruel. It can rip us apart and put us back together, leaving little bits of our souls as souvenirs of our battles, of our triumphs.

Some of us heal. Some of us become bitter, hateful, even violent.

Maybe it doesn’t end at death. Maybe it just transforms.

Or, maybe, we become the ghosts long before we’re dead.
