You freeze in the morning and sweat in the afternoon.

Sometimes the clouds get angry and knock our houses down.

Then there’s the sneezing. The watery eyes. Everyone sounding like a frog has found a home in their throat.

But, oh, the tiny shoots pushing through the slush. The chattering birds. A fresh, warm breeze. Buds on the trees. Grass turning that particular shade of green that makes us all swoon.

After months of being frozen, cold, and gray, the world blooms in an explosion of color and movement. Every year we witness a rebirth, a transformation, an awakening.

It never ceases to be a marvel.
